  • an academic background and undergraduate degree in a science subject (physics, chemistry, life sciences etc);
  • a minimum undergraduate degree of 2:1, with c.1-5 years' PQE, primarily in litigation ideally patent litigation;

The EIP Legal group provides IP litigation services on behalf of our clients as well as commercial advice on licensing and exploitation. The team is led by an industry leading IP litigation partner and is based in London and Dusseldorf. The client base is vast, varied and growing and we currently have litigation work ongoing in the telecommunications, pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors.

As part of EIP's in-house litigation practice EIP Legal, the successful candidate will be trained by some of the most experienced IP lawyers in the UK.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • An undergraduate degree in a scientific subject;
  • GDL / LPC passed (or due to complete the LPC in summer 2017);
  • A desire to build a long term career in patent litigation;
  • Strong IT skills as we are a paperless office;
  • A flexible, “can do” approach is essential; the candidate will at times be expected to work outside of normal office hours;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A confident decision maker;
  • Strong organisational skills including planning, prioritising, timekeeping and meeting deadlines.

EIP Digital is looking to build on impressive recent growth and seeks a finalist or recently qualified attorney to join the London team.

The successful attorney will handle a mixture of work. This will include drafting and prosecution work but there is also a chance to combine a prosecution caseload with some exciting work in litigation support.

We are looking for a candidate who can offer expertise in electronics matters and who is familiar with technologies in the software and wireless / telecoms sectors. Experience in handling drafting & prosecution on behalf of direct clients would be advantageous.

A background in electronic engineering would be preferred but any attorneys who can demonstrate a track record in the above listed technologies will be of interest.
