Elizabeth has worked in a wide variety of technologies in the fields of electronics, optics, mechanics and computer-implemented inventions, and has particular expertise in the areas of semiconductor device fabrication, MEM devices, electromechanical devices, optical storage media, display technology and control systems.
She possesses considerable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for SMEs and University spin-out companies and enjoys meeting and developing links with inventors and R&D personnel. She also has significant experience in liaising with foreign attorneys in the filing and prosecution of UK, European and foreign patent and design applications for multinational corporations. She enjoys the challenges of enforcing client rights in contentious matters and advising on general IP strategy.
Elizabeth holds a BSc Honours degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Durham.
