个人简介

Daniel has an academic background in pharmacology and molecular biology, obtaining a BSc in Pharmacology and an MRes focusing on cancer from Newcastle University. His modules covered a variety of topics including drug discovery and development, carcinogenesis and anticancer drugs, immunology, cell signalling, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology.

During his undergraduate degree in pharmacology, he gained further experience in bacterial cell biology, when undertaking a lab-based research project investigating the role of cell envelope modifications in antibiotic resistance.

Following this, Daniel completed a Master of Research degree, focusing on cancer. This centred around a 6-month lab-based research project on synthetic lethality for the development of novel treatments for medulloblastoma.

Prior to joining EIP, Daniel worked at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology as a non-lab-based technician, assisting in the preparation for the institute's move to the new Moorfields and UCL Centre for Eye Health.
