Christof ist Rechtsanwalt und Leiter des Düsseldorfer EIP Büros. Den Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit bilden Patentverletzungsverfahren mit besonderem Fokus auf die Bereiche Elektronik, Arzneimittel und Maschinenbau. Christof ist erfahren in der Koordination international geführter komplexer Verletzungsverfahren. Daneben vertritt er Mandanten in parallelen Einspruchs- und Nichtigkeitsverfahren vor dem Europäischen Patentamt bzw. dem Bundespatentgericht.
Christof hat, vor Aufnahme seiner Tätigkeit bei EIP, als Rechtsanwalt in den Patent-Litigation Praxen der internationalen Kanzleien Bird & Bird und Taylor Wessing, dort zuletzt als Partner, gearbeitet.
Christof ist Mitglied der GRUR, der deutschen Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtschutz und Urheberrecht e.V., sowie der Federal Circuit Bar Association. Er hat an der Universität Konstanz studiert und ist Fachanwalt für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz. Er spricht Deutsch und Englisch.
