Recruitment of New Entrants to the IP Profession

EIP is committed to recruiting people who are new to the profession and training them to become fully qualified patent and trade mark professionals.

We have recruited at least one new entrant every year since EIP was founded and have a strong record of recruiting graduates and also those who have worked in industry.

Our technical assistants undertake a comprehensive training programme including in-house tuition and external education including the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law course at the University of London and the CEIPI European Patent Attorney exam preparation course in Strasbourg.  Our technical assistants at all levels are given all the supervision and support they need to perform and progress in their careers within EIP.

While education and exams form a key part of our training, EIP places great emphasis on the ability of our people to apply their legal training to providing clients with clear and commercially-focused advice.  For this reason, our technical assistants are given exposure to direct clients very early on in their career, so that legal training is very much grounded in the context of commercial reality.

To apply, please send your CV together with a letter of application to careers@eip.com.
