Chiara has a strong technical background in immunology, molecular biology and bioinformatics, having gained a PhD in Immunity and Infection. During her studies she investigated the transcriptomic response of mast cells to IL-33 cytokine during viral infection using RNA sequencing. She successfully explained complex information through both presenting at conferences and receiving awards and grants for written abstracts.
Chiara also has an MRes in Biomedical Science from University of Southampton, and a BSc Hons in Biomedical Science with Medical Microbiology from Newcastle University. Chiara has completed a graduate internship with Galvani Bioelectronics, where she analysed large datasets from human and pig models.
