Liam Duffy

Liam is a physics specialist and joined EIP having completed a DPhil in condensed matter physics at the University of Oxford. His research project was an investigation of magnetic order in topological insulators, in which Liam successfully synthesised using molecular beam epitaxy, and measured using advanced x-ray and neutron-based characterisation techniques, a number of magnetically doped topological insulator thin film and heterostructure systems.

Liam’s findings have led to the publication of 13 scientific papers, where he is first-named author of four, and opportunities to present his research at several academic conferences.

Liam also has a master’s degree in Physics from the University of London.
