Sharon is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. Sharon handles all aspects of UK, European, and International trademark law and practice. Her work ranges from trademark clearance and prosecution through to contentious trademark proceedings, oppositions, invalidity and revocation actions. Sharon has experience of managing international portfolios for clients in the media and fashion industries, and food and beverages sectors, as well as working with SMEs and entrepreneurs.
She has been credited in the Legal 500 for giving "thoughtful advice", and was also recognised in “Who’s Who Legal: Trademarks” as among the world’s leading Trade Mark Attorneys based on client and peer review in 2015 and 2016.
Sharon has been interviewed as a TV studio guest as well as on the radio for the BBC World Service and has also appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live. Most recently, Sharon was interviewed for a segment featuring trademarks on BBC 1's "The One Show", which is a topical magazine programme on prime time TV.
She has been quoted in a number of publications, including the Daily Mail, the Huffington Post, City A.M., The Telegraph, the Guardian, The Mirror, Herald Scotland, Global Trader, The Lawyer, World Trademark Review and World IP Review.
Sharon has also written articles on trademarks for the UK Intellectual Property Office's "IP Insight" publication, the Global Legal Post, Trademarks and Brands Online, Intellectual Property Magazine, CITMA Review and Lawyer Monthly.
Sharon is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) and has served on CITMA’s Education & Training Committee for more than six years and has taken appointments at CITMA's "Free Advice Clinics" for members of the public, held at the London office of the UK IPO.
Sharon has also presented to entrepreneurs at the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, Central Working, London Technology Week, Leeds Business Week, and to LLM students at Queen Mary, University of London.
In 2017, Sharon was invited to tutor an intensive two-day residential revision course on Trade Mark Law for trainee patent attorneys.
