George Lucas

George is a specialist in life sciences with a particular focus on bioinformatics and software. He has experience prosecuting cases in many countries with a particular focus on Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, and China. George has drafted applications relating to lipid nanoparticles, cultured meat, machine learning software, and crop simulation software. He also has experience in EPO opposition and appeal work relating to antibody technology and food technology. George has done work for a range of clients from software start-ups to large multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Before qualifying as a Patent Attorney in 2019, George studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. George’s final year research project explored Cucumber Mosaic Virus and its interactions with plant defence mechanisms and pathways.
