Partner Darren Smyth will be a speaker at the 18th annual CIPA Congress in a session entitled ‘Taking a Broad View of Designs’.

The 2013 CIPA Congress takes place on 3-4 October at the Lancaster London Hotel. The theme of this year’s event is ‘All change in IP – optimising IP strategies in times of uncertainty’.

Darren’s fellow speakers are Eva Blum from Swedish law firm Vinge, and Dr Henning Hartwig from German IP law firm Bardehle Pagenberg. Chairing the session will be Dr Michael Jewess of Research in IP.

In its 2026 ranking, EIP earned gold in five of the six technology sectors, and silver in the sixth, Materials and Nanotechnology.
