EIP announces European growth with two hires

EIP has announced two hires for its litigation group, EIP Legal, in its UK and German offices, reflecting strong growth for the new year.

Tristan Sherliker joins the London office as an associate, where he will specialise in IP litigation. He joins the firm from the IP practice at Silverman Sherliker LLP, where he spent five years advising on IP exploitation, licensing and international protection as well as taking the lead in disputes in the High Court and specialist IP.

Michael Munsch joins the Düsseldorf office where he will focus on contentious patents as well as trademarks and designs. An experienced IP practitioner, Michael has worked in teams both in private practice and in-house, including three years in the legal department of a globally-operating food manufacturer, specialising in trademarks and patents.

Both Tristan and Michael bring considerable experience and will further strengthen our capabilities across the board.”

EIP named one of Europe's leading patent firms for the eighth year running, with gold in five sectors

EIP has again been named one of Europe's leading patent law firms by the Financial Times. In its 2026 ranking, EIP earned gold in five of the six technology sectors, and silver in the sixth, Materials and Nanotechnology. It is the eighth year running the firm has featured, every year since the ranking began in 2019.
