Charlie Hempsted

Associate, European Patent Attorney
London

Charlie focuses on computer implemented inventions and joined EIP having obtained a first class Master's degree in Physics at University College London.

His final year project was a study into increasing the efficiency of reluctance accelerators by analysing a wide range of possible magnetic sheath geometries. This included both setting up and running simulations of calculated magnetic coupling to a projectile for various sheaths, and testing these findings by constructing a reluctance accelerator.

Since joining EIP, Charlie has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for a range of clients including SMEs and large multinationals. Charlie's work has focused on electronics, database management systems, image processing, machine learning, and telecoms.
