Partners Heather McCann and Matt Lawman have had a co-written article published in Intellectual Property Magazine.

The three-page article, entitled Patent Strategies For Financial Institutions, appeared in the February issue of the magazine.

Heather and Matt argue that financial institutions have not adopted a common approach to patenting. They explore the issues determining which strategy, or strategies, to adopt, suggesting that there is no one-size-fits-all patent strategy that suits all financial institutions and propose one way to address the differences of approach towards business method patenting in US and Europe.
